A Two-Fold Excursion

A lot of tourists who come from Miami to Everglades to revel in Miami Everglades tours can opt for a two-fold adventure of an Everglades airboat tour and a tram tour of the amazing wetlands.

The airboat tour: Tourists may go for the fan boat ride at first and then go for the tram tour, or vice versa. Either way, this combined Everglade tour Miami is bound to make you happy to the very bones. There are a number of vendors who offer alligators tours of the Everglades, and customers can choose one that suits their needs. They can go for a private tour, a semi-private tour, or a group tour. It may be noted that private tours generally feature smaller airboats which have the capability to go to those remote areas of the Everglades that are inaccessible by large airboats which ferry groups of tourists. Additionally, private tours can be customized as per the wishes of the customer. The only downside of a private tour is that it is a little more expensive than group tours. The trip begins with a thrilling ride across the glassy waters of the swamp at fabulous speeds. After sometime, the boat slows down and travelers are able to see the unique surroundings and its wild inhabitants. The tour will also consist of several stops where alligators and other wild creatures are spotted. You can capture such up-close interaction with the wildlife with your cameras. The expert guides on these boats will share information about the native flora and fauna, as well as the history of the region. The airboat tour is thus an enjoyable and a learning experience.

The tram tour: Visitors can take the Everglades shuttle to visit the Everglades National Park, from where they can avail of a tram tour across Shark Valley. The tickets for the tour are reasonably priced at $19 per adult. The trip is divided into two parts with a stop after about 8 miles. The first half of the tour is along a winding paved road with culverts that facilitate the free flow of water, while the second half is along a straight road. Visitors will be able to spot a variety of animals during this trip. The stopover comes with a visit to the Shark Valley Observation Tower. It is quite isolated, but offers a great way to observe the Everglades. You can climb to the deck and see miles and miles of the wetlands. Also, the ramp in the tower is built in such a way that each section provides a unique view of the Everglades. You will be so entranced by the sights that you would want to keep on doing it over and over again! There are several trails near the tower. The guides on the tour can take you for a hike along these trails. It is most likely that you will encounter a wild alligator during this hike. It may be scary, but a safe and very thrilling experience!
